Building Stronger Neighbourhoods: United Way Greater Toronto announces $1M+ in grants to address local priorities identified by residents in Toronto, Peel and York Region

Community Action Grants are investing $1.13 million to support 28 resident-led projects in Cooksville, South Markham, and Jane Finch, addressing food security, mental health, displacement, economic opportunity, and youth engagement. Projects include digital employment support, mental wellness workshops for seniors, and intergenerational meal prep programs to improve community wellbeing and inclusion. This funding builds on a successful 2024 pilot in Jane Finch.
