Letters will be sent to permit holders with permits older than 18 months, indicating a Notice of Intention to Revoke due to lack of inspection requests. If no inspection request is made by the specified Revocation Date, the permit will be revoked. Current property owners are responsible for any outstanding permits, even from previous homeowners. Construction cannot commence after revocation without a new permit, which must comply with the Ontario Building Code. Unlawful construction may lead to enforcement actions.
