Toronto will gain 280 new affordable housing units through the renovation of 65 Dundas Street East, transforming the former Bond Hotel into a multi-unit facility for vulnerable residents. Supported by federal and municipal funding, the project includes tailored services for Indigenous people, new Canadians, and those experiencing homelessness. The first phase is complete, with 92 residents moved in, while the second phase is expected to finish by 2025. Additional affordable housing projects are also underway in nearby areas to address the city's housing needs.
